I'm a San Francisco Bay Area based guitarist, music instructor, and founder of Montes Music Academy. I am also a graduate of the G.I.T. program at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA and have been performing professionally since 2003 and teaching since 2007.
You can catch me playing festivals, clubs, weddings, and other private functions in Northern California or in the studio doing sessions around the Bay Area.
I love playing the guitar, and I have a deep respect and love for Blues, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rock & Roll, Country, Latin Music, Brazilian Jazz, Classical, and Pop. I always find myself in so many different musical situations, it never gets boring and I absolutely love that.
In 2015 I opened the Montes Music Academy in Lafayette CA. I decided to bring my love, dedication, and admiration of music to my students all under one roof. I have seen music change so many students lives over the years, I feel truly blessed to be a part of their musical journeys. I believe music instills confidence, work ethic, and humility to those who are dedicated to their craft, and I take pride in passing along all that I have learned through my own journey.
During the day, I teach private one-on-one lessons to guitarists looking to learn the ins and outs of guitar performance and take their craft to the next level.
