I grew up in the Bay Area and started playing guitar as a teenager. I played my first gigs with my dad's band Down Home Country as well as my guitar teacher's band while still in high school. In college I studied music with some amazing musicians, gigged with lots of local bands and began teaching private lessons. I'm a graduate from Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, and in 2015 opened my lesson studio the Montes Music Academy in Lafayette CA. I love guitars, amplifiers, classic cars and all things music.
